Day 4 was a ‘lay day’ designed to give everyone a break for some maintenance on boats and body! For the internationals a trip to Tangalooma for the day was arranged. For me it was back to work!
Day 5 (Thursday) was a complete anti-climax. The sail out to the start line was an indication of what lay ahead with virtually no breeze to get us there. We then floated around while the sailing committee had a frustrating time repeatedly re-laying the course bouys as the wind constantly shifted around with the rain squalls. After almost 3 hours the committee cancelled sailing for the day and we all had to head for home.
Sailing gets underway earlier today to try and fit in the lost races but with similar conditions forecast who knows what will unfold.
Stay tuned.
