5th June, 2011 – Angler Jonathon McLeod enjoys a jigging session off Moreton.
After a slow morning spent fishing 300 to 500 metre depths on the Continental Shelf east of Point Lookout using electric reels it was time to try something different. With the wind dropping and little current we decided the conditions were looking good for a jigging session on some of the reefy country east of the Bar. The sounder said it all with massive shows of Amberjacks and Kingies and basically every pass saw all anglers hooking up. As usual the sharks moved in to end the party but some fantastic fish were taken and released in an hour of power!
