When the owner of well-known Sunshine Coast sportfishing boat Fish Whisperer decided to carry out a mini re-fit, he appointed Professional Boat Care to project manage the work. I first met the owner, a well known property industry identity, when I guided him Blue Marlin fishing off Brisbane a couple of years ago. He had a long list of improvements he wanted us to carry out, including re-pitching the propellers to try and gain some more speed, adding beautiful teak covering boards to his cockpit, fitting new outrigger bases, new rod holders, decommissioning the lower helm station to build in a new flat screen TV and ice maker, improving the transom set up and repairing the marlin bill scratches, adding bolster cushions to the cockpit, antifouling and polishing – all before the September school holidays which gave us 3 weeks!
