31st May 2011 – Large Cobia off Moreton Island
Website Guru Jason Cross, who put this site together, asked after viewing all the fish shots if i’d take him offshore to try his luck. I said we have been encountering a few quality Cobia off Moreton Island recently and with a light SW forecast Tuesday I said lets go. We caught some livies, started a consistant burley trail and within minutes of sending the first livie to the bottom Jason was on. Just prior to hooking up he commented that he had only really ever caught a few Bream and things before so you can imagine what 45 minutes of brutish Cobia did to his winding muscles – I love a plan coming together!
